Google, one of the biggest and multinationals shocked the entire tech world on his Monday (10th August 2015) when it announced its restructuring. It separated its core business and its plethora of other ventures into a constellation of companies to be headed by the umbrella company called Alphabet.

Google founder and CEO Larry Page will now be the CEO of Alphabet. And replacing him as CEO of Google is Sundar Pichai, the current senior vice president of products at Google. Though Larry Page suggests in a blog post that the new Google will be a ‘slimmed down’ version of the former company, yet Sundar Pichai will have plenty to look after. Google will retain core businesses, including search, ads, Maps, apps, YouTube and Android, meaning that tens of thousands of employees will still be reporting to Pichai.
