Analysis of people’s perception on the ceasefire violations from the Pakistan army
Ceasefire and LOC violations from the Pakistan army is not something that is new but in what is being referred as an act of cowardice across the world, nearly 20 heavily armed men from the Pakistan army ambushed an Indian patrol killing 5 soldiers after entering almost 500 metres in the Indian territory. This incident increased the on-going tension between the two countries but the recent ceasefire violations by the Pakistan army during the last three days has raised a situation which the prime ministers of both the countries would want to avoid.
The Indian defence minister has reportedly told the reporters on Monday:� The armed forces have freedom to respond to the developing situation there appropriately�. • The fact that there were 770 negative posts around these ceasefire violations not only signifies that the public sentiment was low but in fact there was anger among the common Indian man. Though the number of posts slightly turned a bit positive on Monday after the defence minister A K Antony gave a bold statement, giving the army a free pass to deal with the situation accordingly.
