Google have decided to stop showing search results as you type – a feature rolled out in 2010. The reason shared by google to why Instant Search is going away is that over 50% of users do their searches on mobile rather than desktop. This change is to make search “more fluid on all devices”, Google says.
Now as you type, you will only see search suggestions and need to click on those suggestions to see the results. The search results won’t render in real time without clicking on the suggestion.
