Analysis of People’s perception on the Bharatiya Janata Party election manifesto
With political slugfest getting even murkier, political parties of India have gone all out to woo the electorate. BJP’s Manifesto focuses on a number issues including development, education, security, domestic and foreign policies, infrastructure and healthcare. As far as development is concerned, North Eastern States, Jammu & Kashmir, Seemandhra and Telangana will be given special attention. BJP promises to promote tourism, education and technology to empower the weaker sections of the society especially tribal. BJP talks about devising a new healthcare policy which has not changed since the year 2002, modernizing government hospitals and setting up AIMS like medical and Para-medical colleges in every state.

“What are the sentiments of masses on Bharatiya Janata Party election manifesto?”
• 36% of the posts with respect to BJP’s Manifesto were negative, 29% were positive and 35% were neutral. However, as compared to Congress party, the tide is certainly in favour of BJP.
The most commonly used words in the posts are depicted in the following Word Map.

• Analysis of social networks clearly shows that users were most active on Facebook with over 450 comments. Yahoo was least active and the rest of the social media had fairly equal representation.

As can be seen from the graph below, people commented the most on 22nd April and 28th April as compared to any other day. Traffic on Facebook has been fairly stable. However, there was a sudden surge in activity on twitter and Google Plus on 28th April.
