For the twitter world, there is a new update, on this social media platform. The star icon depicting ‘favorites’ will be switched to a heart denoting ‘likes’. This change has been implemented to make twitter rewarding and easy to use. At times, the star icon could confuse new comers on the platform.
The heart, is a universal symbol that strikes a chord in people, across cultures, languages and time zones. The heart is more expressive and people end up expressing their emotions even more through this symbol.
Hearts on Twitter will be seen on iOS and Android, TweetDeck, Twitter for Windows 10, twitter.com and on Tweets across the Internet, as well as on the Vine Android app and website. Vine for iOS and Twitter for Mac will also get them soon.
